No! Corn puffs are not a plastic by-product!

2026. 07. 28.

I was still at school when I heard one of my classmates say the following:

We do not give plastic by-products like that to my little sister… She is only 2 years old…

I thought it was a joke. As the conversation went on it quickly turned out that it was not.

What are corn puffs made of?

I thought this was obvious to everyone, so let me spell it out. Corn puffs have three main ingredients: plenty of corn grits, a minimal amount of oil and even less salt. Possibly cheese or bacon powder as flavouring.

No, corn puffs are not used as packing material. Corn puffs are manufactured to be eaten, while plastic packing chips are made for packaging. They are two entirely different things.
